Tom LeCours – Owner
Tom began working at Walton’s Sport Shop in 1978 while still in high school. Customer service was in his blood, and after 3 short years he was promoted to Manager. At that time, Walton’s was a full line sporting goods shop, selling athletic footwear, baseball, hockey and tennis equipment and all manner of sports supplies. The young man with a passion for customer service also had a head for business, and when then-owner Al Fairbanks retired in 1989, Tom bought the business.
As competition changed with “Big Box” retailers and internet sales, so did Walton’s. Tom added Screen Printing and Embroidery Services in 1999. The printing and embroidering business went so well he decided to rent the downtown location and buy a new building at the present location. By 2014, Walton’s was a dedicated screen printing and embroidery shop.
Business continues to grow and Tom continues to invest in his facilities. A state-of-the-art automated printing press was added in 2016 and a new 6 head embroidery machine was brought online in 2018.
When he’s not running the Capital Region’s premier printing and embroidering facility, Tom enjoys golf, playing guitar, salt water fishing and boating.
Tom was the varsity Golf Coach at Saratoga Catholic High School for 7 years and currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Cossayuna Lake Improvement Association.
